Art of YA

For the Book Art Geeks

1 note &

So, I read this in the Chicago Tribune today, in the Arts and Entertainment section. I live in Chicagoland, so I get this paper.

Every time there’s a movie based off a series/book I like Michael Phillips give it a bad reviews. 2 stars or less. Why is this guy even reviewing these movies? I’m sure a young female writer would love Divergent.

Don’t trust this guy’s reviews. Ever. He’s not the intended audience. He’s too old.

I am going to see Divergent this weekend and nothing or no one can stop me!!!!

“What are you planning to do?”“Take you to a garden.” He scooped me up into his arms and strode toward the open end of the hall that looked out on the sky. I realized what he was planning and swallowed.“I thought I was never to leave this house,” I said, looking back over his shoulder so that I wouldn’t have to see the edge approach. Instead I saw his wings appear.

Is he a angel or demon? I thought there was greek mythology in Creul Beauty. Now I’m real excited to read it after seeing this.

the ruins of chicago.

Wow. It looks so different, yet the same. I actually live in the suburbs, and my brother goes to UIC. Now it’s become Marsh Michigan and the Chicago Creek. So overgrown. I hope Lake Michigan doesn’t dry up anytime soon.
